I am going to be entering my first ever golf tournament (fourball specifically), and just wanted to advice on how i can be more accurate, more relaxed, and possibly much much longer off the tee!!?? Thanks. (P.S: I have a tendency to have inconsitencies in my swing with the position of my left thumb moving from 1 o clock which is neutral, to 12 o clock, and therefore, i have to close the clubface to get consistency, which is pathetic!!!)

In my swing, i have a tendency to open the clubface halfway back in my golf swing (rolling the wrists; but still hinged), and my left thumb and wrist keeps coming out of the neutral grip position, therefore causing wayward shots. Please help..

Can anyone suggest a swing training aid that works?
Like most people who learn to play golf, I have an external the road swing. I wonder if anyone has had any success with a training aid.
Here is a cheap way to help. At the driving range drink a bottle of water until it is 1 / 4 full. Stand behind the ball to find your line. put the bottle 6 inches behind the ball and 2 inches in the outside of the line. Now you will have to swing down the line or inside / outside to lose the bottle. I use this exercise with my golf team. The back crazy, but the club does not hurt if they hit the bottle. It will force you to swing toward the target. Swing at a ball 10-15 times like this and then remove the bottle.
