http:;/janson.com Just a few years ago, the location of the Doha Golf Club was nothing but rocky desert. Golf course designer Peter Harradine created an impressive 18-hole championship course on 150 hectares. One of the most important events in the annual calendar of the small state of Qatar is the Qatar Masters. The European PGA tour arranges for major golfers to play at the Doha Golf Club. Accordingly, the course presents itself as a worthy sporting area. With its 6600 metres, the course is the longest on the tour. The first nine holes are exceptionally short and provide several challenging par 3 holes. The back nine however are long but offer wide fairways and relatively few hazards.
