I am going to be entering my first ever golf tournament (fourball specifically), and just wanted to advice on how i can be more accurate, more relaxed, and possibly much much longer off the tee!!?? Thanks. (P.S: I have a tendency to have inconsitencies in my swing with the position of my left thumb moving from 1 o clock which is neutral, to 12 o clock, and therefore, i have to close the clubface to get consistency, which is pathetic!!!)

In my swing, i have a tendency to open the clubface halfway back in my golf swing (rolling the wrists; but still hinged), and my left thumb and wrist keeps coming out of the neutral grip position, therefore causing wayward shots. Please help..

On a scale of 1 to 10, how important is balance in the golf swing to learn especially for one starting out in golf?
